State of Denial

So while the late night TV circuit is busy making fun of Hillary’s state of denial there’s another public figure having the same kinds of delusions. Dick Cheney said our economy remains the ‘envy of the world’. If be envy you mean laughing stock then yes, you would have it right there. How can he say that when his company Halliburton LEFT America and moved to Dubai. So not only are wealthy corporations moving away but smaller companies are having a hard time staying afloat when no one has money.

This ad depicts Pelosi as a rubber chicken, in fact they might not be too far off. Instead of ‘rubber’ it should have been ‘plastic’, it’ll be interesting to see if San Diego goes anymore liberal.

No shit Sherlock, Cindy McCain says that her tax returns will remain private as they should. I won’t lie, it would be nice to know how much money she’s given to her husband through all this but it’s not like it matters. What’s that saying? Behind every powerful man is an equally powerful woman? Olberman did the right thing and talked about her statement of “McCain won’t attack any candidate cause he’s not like that”, because obviously saying “Hamas endorsed Obama” isn’t leaving anything to the imagination. At the bottom of the article they quote Gore as saying he won’t accept any cabinet position offered to him under any circumstance. I doubt it, but you can’t dispute his words.

Iraq war vet being called back and asking for a draft and I don’t blame him. After signing up he was told the fine print about being called back if he was needed was just rhetoric. After being called back again he thinks it’s unfair to him, he did it out of love for his country and now he wants to move on. Reinstate the draft and let’s move on, of course I say that with the utmost cynicism possible.

Lastly in the ever growing battle that is giving benefits to these soldiers the Congressional Budget Office has called McCain out on his non-support of the new GI bill. That if we increase the benefits we give for our army that would raise enlistment more than giving it to them after serving over 10+ years in the service. Sure as hell would be better than all those damn commercials, they make it sound like the army is the worst death metal band ever.
